Missing Man Table Ceremony

Commemorative Partners may incorporate a Missing Man Table Ceremony into their events as one way to thank and honor America’s unreturned Vietnam War veterans. Tables may be located near the front of the room or the entrance with an explanation for guests. The ceremony should be performed following the presentation of the colors. For assistance with ceremonies, partners should consider contacting local veteran service organizations or student groups such as Civil Air Patrol or ROTC. Should partner organizations wish to co-sponsor an event with another organization, a full list of partner organizations is located on the Commemoration's website, along with a map of partner organization locations.

For instructions on how to set up the table and the full ceremony script and guidelines, please refer to the excerpt from Air Force Pamphlet 34-1202, published May 2019.
