Park Service volunteers affectionately called “Yellow Hats” honored all women who served in the Vietnam War by dedicating a Wreath of Remembrance on the 20th Anniversary of Vietnam Women's Memorial to the more than 10,000 American women military and civilian who proudly served their country in the Vietnam War. Thank you and welcome home!

The Park Service volunteers affectionately called “Yellow Hats,” who serve at the Vietnam Veterans Memorials thanked women veterans for their service and expressed their appreciation for the trust given, as they serve as guardians to the Vietnam Women’s Memorial space. Denver Park Service volunteer, Suzanne Sigona offered this sentiment on behalf of all volunteers. “We have the good fortune to be in this place at this time doing something that we love.” Park Service "Yellow Hats" presented a wreath at the Vietnam Women's Memorial as part of its 20th anniversary to honor everyone who served.

During a 20-year anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Memorial remembrance celebration, Denver Park Service “Yellow Hat” volunteer offered this sentiment on behalf of all, "As volunteers, we have been entrusted with the stories you have confided in us. We have shared your tears and we have joined you in honoring the Vietnam Women’s Memorial. Through the work of so many, we now have the means to honor women who served as civilian personnel, Red Cross volunteers, Donut Dollies, humanitarian aid workers, correspondents, and all those angels in uniform call nurses. Thank you and welcome home!"
