Honorary Partners

A DAR state chapter welcomes an Honor FlightThe VWC Honorary Partner distinction is conferred to organizations made up solely of those who bore the battle of the Vietnam War (i.e., Vietnam Veterans of America state councils and chapters, and the Atlanta Vietnam Veterans Business Association), or those who bore the loss (i.e., Sons & Daughters in Touch ... Vietnam War Gold Star children).

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is collaborating with us to bestow this distinction on all Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) organizations.  DAR State Regents are coordinating the efforts of their respective chapters to arrange ceremonies for the 47 VVA
state councils and 601 chapters within our 50 states and the District of Columbia.  During these public ceremonies, a Commemorative Flag and Honorary Partner certificate will be presented to each VVA entity.  In addition, any Vietnam veteran who has yet to receive a Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin (VVLP) will be honored with a personal presentation of that lapel pin from a DAR member.  Finally, any surviving spouse of a late Vietnam veteran attending a ceremony will receive their veteran’s VVLP, along with a Surviving Spouse Lapel Pin.  All will receive a warm Welcome Home! and the humble thanks of a grateful Nation.
