Men and women who have served our country from WWII in the 1940’s through today were honored at the Veterans Day dinner and program held at DeCordova Bend Country Club on Saturday, November 8, 2014, in DeCordova, Texas. During the evening, Kathy Hanlon, National Chair, National Defense Committee, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, announced that DeCordova Bend Estates and the city of DeCordova stands with Vietnam veterans and has been officially approved by the Department of Defense as a Commemorative Partner with the Vietnam War Commemoration. Several Vietnam era veterans presented the official Vietnam War Commemoration Flag to signify that Vietnam veterans are taking their place among the greatest generations of U.S. veterans. All Vietnam era veterans attending the event were asked to form a line in the front of the room where a group photo was taken and pins were distributed.
