I continue to present to Vietnam veterans lapel pins and thank them for their service wherever I meet them. On November 2, 2022, I will make presentations at a Republican Women's luncheon. They are honoring Vietnam veterans & have invited me to do the honors. I always tell the recipients about the DOD Commemorative. You have allowed our Veterans to feel the warmth & gratitude of America.

When a Vietnam Veteran is awarded a Quilt of Valor, a Lapel Pin is also presented to the veteran. I anticipate hosting several ceremonies between now and the end of the Commemorative. I am nearly out pins, proclamations, and Fact Sheets and would appreciate whatever you can provide.

Ongoing Individaul presentations of Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pins withever a Vietnam Veteran is identified such at events like the traveling "Wall That Heals".

A 50th Vietnam War Commemoration Ceremony is planned for the weekly Lois Wilson Memorial Breakfast Club attended by veterans, family, and friends. Breakfast, ordered off the menu, begins at 8:00 a.m. A Pinning Ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a Color Guard, Prayer, speech, and singing of The Star-Spangled Banner. Each registered Vietnam Veteran will be called forward, individually, with his/her name, branch of service, and years of service announced. A receiving line of Chaplain, dignitaries, and previously pinned Vietnam Veterans will "Welcome Home," honor, and salute/shake hands then place a Lapel Pin on his/her collar; applause will be initiated. A custom decorated cake will be served after all are pinned and colors are retired.

Five Bedford Chapter NSDAR members met with the Vietnam Veterans for breakfast. We presented them with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration Flag. We had the distinct privilege to present each of the Veterans with a Vietnam Veteran War Lapel pin and to thank and honor them personally for their service.
