I continue to present to Vietnam veterans lapel pins and thank them for their service wherever I meet them. On November 2, 2022, I will make presentations at a Republican Women's luncheon. They are honoring Vietnam veterans & have invited me to do the honors. I always tell the recipients about the DOD Commemorative. You have allowed our Veterans to feel the warmth & gratitude of America.

When a Vietnam Veteran is awarded a Quilt of Valor, a Lapel Pin is also presented to the veteran. I anticipate hosting several ceremonies between now and the end of the Commemorative. I am nearly out pins, proclamations, and Fact Sheets and would appreciate whatever you can provide.

Ongoing Individaul presentations of Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pins withever a Vietnam Veteran is identified such at events like the traveling "Wall That Heals".

Our plans for 2025 include a moving musical tribute and recognition ceremony, staged at the Cordova High School Performing Arts Center. There will be guest speakers, Honor Guard presentations, video displays, and light refreshments too.

During our Memorial service, we will recognize the "50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF THE VIETNAM WAR May 7, 1973 – May 7, 2025", and the Vietnam Veterans that served.

Vet to Vet TN is collaborating with Dr. Emily Hager, TN's Faith-based and community initiative to identify and recognize Vietnam Veterans and their families during the 2025 Memorial Day weekend. We are hoping to have all 95 counties in the state of TN to cooperate with this event.

This is the mobile Vietnam Wall. Mary Chesney Chapter will be there to honor vets who come to visit the Wall. Note: We pin Veterans on an ongoing basis as well so any remaining will be used for that purpose.

Wreath Laying

Memorial Day event provided opportunity for Viet vets who had not received a lapel pin to be honored with presentation by President, Roanoke Valley Veterans Council; Executive Director, Salem VAHCS; and WDBJ anchor, Melissa Gaona. Three Viet Vets pre-registered for the presentation; three additional attended for total of six. Program attached with lapel pin presentations inserted in program before the unveiling.
