I continue to present to Vietnam veterans lapel pins and thank them for their service wherever I meet them. On November 2, 2022, I will make presentations at a Republican Women's luncheon. They are honoring Vietnam veterans & have invited me to do the honors. I always tell the recipients about the DOD Commemorative. You have allowed our Veterans to feel the warmth & gratitude of America.

The DAR John Fitch Chapter recognizes and honors Vietnam Veterans Twice a Year or more usually inviting2 each time to a meeting with refreshments awarding them with pins, certificate spouses are also invited. They may speak or choose not to speak

THE VIETNAM VETERANS WILL EACH RECEIVE A QUILT OF VALOR IN RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION OF THEIR MILITARY SERVICE. WE HOST THIS EVENT EVERY TWO MONTHS AS WE HAVE REQUESTS AND QOVS READY. AT THE TIME OF THE QOV PRESENTATION, WE HAVE BEEN PRESENTING THE VIETNAM LAPEL PIN, HOWEVER I HAVE USED MY FIRST 50 AND NEED TO REPLACE MY STOCK.

Vietnam veterans will be honored and welcomed home at DAR meetings and multiple other locations planned,

WHEN EVER ANY VIETNAM VETERAN VISITS THE OFFICE, THEY ARE PRESENTED WITH THE PINS, EXPLANATIONS, PROCLAMATIONS, STICKERS AND THE FAMILIES ARE PROVIDED PINS AND STICKERS AS APPROPRIATE.

The Regional Facility will be having refreshments on March 29. Supporting four Community Based Outreach Clinic (CBOCs) and four Veterans Centers for the entire state of Alaska. Our office is working with them to host smaller type events.

As part of the Salem VA Health Care System quarterly Town Hall, AUSA Chapter President was asked to officiate a Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin ceremony. Three Vietnam-era veterans, inter alia, witnessed the ceremony and one USAF Vietnam Veteran received his lapel pin,

The Musiem had a large exhibit on Vietnam and China Beach. Becouse of the Exhibit being such a huge success Many Veterans and families are asking about it and we still pass out pins. We only have 5 left and would liek to have more. 100 of teh lapel pins and 100 of the Blue Star spouse pin.

Individual presentations. Note that I am a Veteran myself (too young for Vietnam) and have occasion to encounter qualified Veterans who have never been recognized - often on military installations.

Informal and formal events throughtout the next 18 months recognizing Vietnam Veterans and their families/spouses

When a Vietnam veteran receives a Quilt of Valor, the Vietnam Veterans Lapel pin is presented following the QOV award ceremony.

The Museum of Flight hosts multiple events each year focused on veterans. These events range in attendance from 100-300 individuals. The list includes Vietnam War Veterans Day in March, Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day in May, an annual Tribute Plaque Ceremony for our own Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park in May, and Veterans Day in November. In addition, the Museum's Public Program team facilitate several military-themed programs throughout the year. At each of these programs, Vietnam veterans are invited to stand and be recognized and presented with lapel pins if they have not already received them. In addition, our Docent Corps made up of more than 250 volunteers, more than a dozen of which are Vietnam Veterans, presents lapel pins to veterans on a daily basis as part of their regular duties. One of these Docents also represents the Museum of Flight's Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park, Project Recover, and Puget Sound Honor Flight at annual state conventions. Several of these Docents, and members of our regular staff also keep a supply of pins and materials with them for presenting to veterans we encounter in public settings such as grocery and hardware stores.

While attending the Jackson County Fair on Veterans get in free day, I met a couple of Navy veterans. In talking, one of them said he had never received his 50 Year Anniversary Pin. We were close to my car where I keep extra materials in my trunk. I presented him his pin in the fair parking lot.

Quilts will be awarded to Vietnam Era Vets at various venues near Stafford, VA, on different dates in 2023 and 2024 during a Quilt of Valor Award Ceremony. Some of the ceremonies will take place the Vietnam Vets home, a nursing home and possibly at more public venues, such as the Marine Corps Museum. Once the quilts are awarded the Vietnam vet will be honored separately with the VVLP.

This is a followup to our previous event where we'll recognize additional veterans. We'll present the pins at out quarterly meetings over the next year

It is my hope to visit all nursing homes in the Fort Collins, CO area over the next couple of years and have a ceremony at each one honoring Vietnam Veterans who may not be able to get out to other ceremonies. These hero's deserve to be thanked before its too late. We have a dedicated group of volunteers at the Elks who would make sure each ceremony would be special. I don't know how many there are out there.With over 30 assisted living facilities in the area, I would like to order 200 pins if available. This would be an ongoing project. It would be an honor to do this. I am filling in blanks with approximate numbers. I honestly don't know how many Vietnam/Vietnam era Veterans are living in assisted living. I need to make sure I can get the items first then dive in. Thank you.

As patients are admitted onto our hospice services we conduct Veteran-to-Veteran pinning ceremonies. We also partner with local nursing facilities to honor all of their Veteran patients for Veterans Day, March 29th, etc. If patients pass before we're able to honor them, we present surviving loved ones with pin/certificates/flags.

The Quilts of Valor Foundation awards comforting and healing "Quilts of Valor" to veterans and service members who have been touched by war. Quilts can be awarded a various events including War Memorials, VFWs, familey reunions, Miltary Unit reunions, Air Shows, homes, senior living facilities, ect. Families, relatives and miltiary friends attend the events.

The Office of the Chief of Public Affairs / Army Outreach Division will distribute the VVLP to Veitnam Veterans they encounter in the course of their outreach activities.

Ongoing veteran recognition

There are Numerous Veteran's that are in nursing homes and a large group that was displaced due to the migrant issue. They are now in a new facility. FDNY Wants to ensure they're honored,

We will be conducting approximately 60 events: 8 Major airshow, 10 medium airshows, 20 ride events and whole bunch of small/local flyovers, static displays. We will be ALL over the Nation at various times and dates beginning with Atlanta NASCAR Ambetter 400 in February through Veterans Day in mid November. We will be passing out these awards to numerous Veteran events. That's why we are asking for such large amount so we can then disperse them to our other chapters as well. We've been doing this now for about 5 years and will continue to do so into the future.

Yakima QOV 79602 has members in Kittitas, Yakima, and surrounding counties who are needing the Vietnam Commemorative Pins. I share these pins for their awards. We have increased nominations. Quilt AwardsNietnam Cornmemoratie Pinnings are in private and group awards.

distribute Vietnam lapel pins through various veteran events within the multiple locations (medical facility, HCC, CBOCS), town hall meetings, and outreach events.

My DAR Chapter gives DAR certificates of appreciation and lapel pins as we get new members who family members were in the military during the Vietnam era. We also do the same for SAR members.

Our members would like to present lapel pins to previously unrecognized Vietnam era veterans on an impromptu basis. We would like 20 more pins so that we have enough to provide one or two to every member who would like to do this.

When individual Vietnam veterans are nominated for a Quilt of Valor, the Vietnam Commemorative Pin will be awarded at their Quilt of Valor ceremonies. These awards are made at various venues throughout the Fargo-Moorhead area.

We give out the pins at special individual recognition ceremonies. We had a large ceremony of National Vietnam Veternams Day and gave out the ones you sent us for that as well as all our extra ones we use for the individual ceremonies. These smaller individual ceremonies are for our hospice patients that are Vietnam Veterans

We are a new chapter in Washington State and have just started scheduling several awards ceremonies. We never know from event to event, how many Vietnam Veterans will be in attendace. I'm estimating 100 pins will get me through 2025 (maybe!).

In Washington state we present the Vietnam Commemorative Pin at various ceremonies where we honor our Vietnam veterans. As leader of North Central QOV group based in Tonasket, WA, I am asked to give a commemorative speech and award these pins frequently. I'm estimating 200 pins will get me through 2025 (maybe!).

When a Vietnam Veteran is awarded a Quilt of Valor, a Lapel Pin is also presented to the veteran. I anticipate hosting several ceremonies between now and the end of the Commemorative. I am nearly out pins, proclamations, and Fact Sheets and would appreciate whatever you can provide.

They will be presented with the pin, brochure, and bumper sticker during their Honor Flights, as well as our promotional booths in CA.

Group Event at Spokane VA Veteran's Home done 2-3x/year with 10+ Veteran's honored each time. Individual QOV Awards within the Spokane community. Group events/individual awards at Riverview Retirement Community in Spokane. Awards at Lewis Town, MN VFW.

American Combat Veterans of War will conduct multiple individual pinning events throughout San Diego County California.

Linares Chapter, NSDAR will conduct individual pinning events throughout San Diego County California.

Rincon Del Diablo Chapter will conduct individual pinning events throughout San Diego county California.

Veterans Social Connection, in conjunction with the VA Long Beach Healthcare System, will conduct individual pinning events a various locations within the system.

Chaplain encounters Vietnam Vets and their spouses, family members, and friends during visitation in Hospice, Palliative Care, Oncology, Community Living Centers, ICU, Emergency Care Department, and Hospital Rooms during rounding. The Chaplain presents Vietnam Veterans with pin, certificate, and other material supplied by this group. The reaction of the veterans, family members, and friends is often emotional filled with gratitude. The presentation of the pin is given to each individual vet with family and staff witnessing the presentation. Many vets, with tears in their eyes, express a genuine thanks. They proudly display the pin on their hats, shirts, or coats. The common response from the vet is, "thank-you, this means a lot - to know that you care." The vet shares memories of friends, areas of service, and military memories. The pins assist several veterans with closure and healing.

We have scheduled and are going to schedule ceremonies to award Quilts of Valor to veterans touched by war. These are at various locations around town. At the end of our Qov ceremony we bring back up front the Vietnam veterans and read tell a little about the Vietnam heroes. Then while pinning on their Vietnam pin our leader says "Welcome Home" and reads the meaning of the pin. We give hugs and take their pictures. One ceremony is planned for today, 7.9.2024 at American Freedom Museum with 3 Vietnam veterans honored and the next one is 7.13.2024 with 4 Vietnam honored. July 16 finds us awarding one more Vietnam veteran. I have nominations and are awaiting completion of the quilts for three events in August. One will be held at Prestige Estates with 3 Vietnam veterans, and one back at American Freedom Museum with 2 more Vietnam veterans. another one will be held at Camp for Heroes Ranch in Quitman, TX with one Vietnam veteran at this point. On September 6 we will award at least 3 to the Texas State Rally for Christian Motorcycle Association and this could have many more as nomination forms have been sent out to members in Oklahoma, Louisiana and other Texas areas . On July 16 we go out to Watkins-Logan, the Veterans home here in Tyler to secure nominations for the remainer of their residents. We have already awarded about 15 out there but we could have as many as 35 Vietnam Veterans. They will probably be awarded there in November. All this adds up to needing a lot of pins.

We conduct ad hoc ceremonies for Vietnam Veterans in accordance with the guidelines set by the Commemoration. In 2025, the ASOM will be hosting a temporary Vietnam exhibit to commemorate the 60th anniversary of when the first American combat troops were deployed in Vietnam. We will also host various public programs as outreach during the exhibit period.

4 Saturday night concerts honoring our Military and Veterans. 10/5, 10/12, 10/19 and 10/26/2024

The program is a continuation of a program that we started earlier this year. The chaplain presents the veteran with a proclamation and a pin when the veteran enters into Hospice, Oncology treatments, and the Community Living Center (CLC). The presentation is made with family and staff present. The veterans reactions are varied. Some get emotional while others are stoic. All of the veterans and their families appreciate the pin and the ceremony. The chaplain uses the pin and ceremony as a way to develop a relationship with the vet and the vet's family. The pin and ceremony allows the veteran to begin the healing process. The veterans engage one another and develop friendships that - in turn - assists in the healing process. Several veterans have commented that the pin and ceremony is a source of encouragement. Many of the veterans display the pin on their hats. The pin serves as an opportunity to engaged with other Vietnam vets. Other veterans say that the frame the proclamation and display the pin with the other military awards.

Our community has over 750 veterans who we are trying to award with a Quilt of Valor. We try to do a minimum of 60 per year. To date we have awarded 349 quilts. We started with WWII vets, and have progressed to awarding to the Vietnam War Veterans now. We would be honored to give these pins to our Vietnam Veteran era veterans at our Quilt of Valor Ceremonies .

In Western Washington state, Island QOV Group will be presenting the Vietnam Commemorative Pin at various ceremonies where we honor our Vietnam veterans. I agree that this honoring is important. I'm estimating 150 pins will get me through 2025.

The Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit travels across the USA visiting local events, communities, schools, and more. We welcome home many Vietnam Veterans on our unit.

This was so successful that we plan to do it again this year. Veterans were very appreciative. We also gave away pins at our Wreaths Across America wreath-laying event, and when the Martha Ibbetson chapter members went out to lunch afterward, we also gave a pin to a veteran in the restaurant (he was wearing a Vietnam veteran hat).

Weekly food distribution where Fishing With America's Finest will PIN VIETNAM VETERANS that are in the line to receive food. This is a weekly event and a member of Fishing With America's Finest is in attendance each week to honor the veterans

While at VA Appointment presented Label Pins

The post will follow the prescribed ceremony for the VFW Auxilliary and read a roster of all deceased Veterans in the past year.

The veteran of the year award is announced at the ceremony. Local TV, Radio, and Newspaper all will be at the event.

Packets of the Vietnam Pins(vets and Tin) along with documents were prepared at my home and taken to the sight of the meet and great dinner for the Vets. All local news outlets will cover their events.
