12:00 AM - 12:00 AM
The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C., will be in New York City from September 28th – October 1st at Flushing Meadows Park this fall.
I am writing to invite you, or your organization's designated representative, to become a part of The Wall That Heals Host Delegation.
Bringing The Wall home to communities throughout the country allows the souls enshrined on the memorial to exist once more among family and friends in the peace and comfort of familiar surroundings. As part of the Host Delegation, you will help us spread the word about The Wall to local Veterans, Veteran Service Organizations, and our fellow neighbors.
Please join us on Tuesday, July 25th, 2023 at 10:30 am in the Municipal Building (1 Centre Street, North Mezzanine, New York, NY 10007) for The Wall That Heals Host Delegation kickoff meeting. Kindly see attached for your official invitation. Click here to RSVP no later than July 18.
The Wall That Heals is an opportunity for us to help our city remember and honor those 200,000 New Yorkers who fought in the Vietnam War, and the over 1,700 who made the ultimate sacrifice -- including the 40 MIA/POWs who remain unaccounted for. We look forward to your collaboration and partnership.
If you have any questions, please contact Nicole Jordan Jones, Assistant Commissioner for Outreach and Cassandra Alvarez, Chief of Staff who are both cc’d.
Thank you and have a great day!
All the best,
James
