Auburn High School juniors will seek to honor Vietnam veterans through preserving their stories of duty, sacrifice, and bravery through the recording of their oral histories for the Library of Congress Veterans History Project. Through these interviews, students will be further educated about the lived experience of the Vietnam War through learning from the veterans themselves. For those wishing to participate, two days of interviews will be offered with three different time slots each day allowing for veterans to choose a time best for them. Interviews will be on April 25th and 26th with time slots open at 10 AM, 12:30 PM, and 2 PM. Participating veterans will receive a copy of their interview and for those who have not received such yet will be presented with an official Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin. Veterans spouses and family are welcome to attend as well.
