VIETNAM ERA VETERANS MEMORIAL, Canby Oregon

“To honor all military veterans who served during the Vietnam War.” It is a quiet place for reflection, to show appreciation for the service and sacrifice of our veterans, and to continue healing the wounds the war inflicted.

The dedication of the Vietnam Era Veterans Memorial will be held in the main courtyard of the Canby High School on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10:00 A.M.. In attendance will be Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, Major Bruce P. “Snake”’ Crandall, guest speakers; Adjutant General of the Oregon National Guard, Raymond Rees, Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs director Jim Willis and city of Canby Mayor Randy Carson.   Current and vintage vehicles and armor as well as a Blackhawk Medivac helicopter will be on display. The public is welcome.
